Over the past 50 years, urbanized areas are often welded together because cities tend to spread in a linear way, along the roads.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>The urbanized area has grown enourmously<\/strong> and today, in Lombardy, the new buildings, such as settlement, industrial and commercial areas as well as infrastructures, consume <strong>more than 10 hectares per day of natural or agricultural land<\/strong>.
